As a yoga teacher, licensed esthetician, and artist, social work felt like a natural extension to my passion for mental health advocacy and the ways in which ritual, self-care, and beauty can be powerful tools for well-being. I received my master’s in social work in 2023, and working in mental health reaffirms to me that joy, contentment and ease are states of being that historically and presently disenfranchised communities should have access to consistently. As a first-generation South Asian-American, I am expressly committed to working with other South Asians and expanding access to care in our community.
I bring my gifts to our therapeutic encounters—my sensitivity, creativity, bodywork, neurodivergence, and my queer, multicultural lens—in order for your gifts to blossom. Witnessing your journey is an honor that I hold very sacredly; I hope to co-create an environment where you feel safe, seen, and can fully be you, as we embark on an exploration of your inner world together. I believe that the best therapeutic relationship is the one that centers your healing—where the trust I earn from you, the rapport we have with each other, and all of our time together is ultimately in service of your expansion into the most beautiful, authentic version of you 🙂
