I am a white, cisgender, neurodivergent, queer counselor whose passion is to support people in increasing their wellbeing and connecting to their inner world . I am here to accept all aspects of your experiences and encourage your personal and communal empowerment through a secure and safe therapeutic relationship. My main hope is for you to discover your inherent wisdom and live authentically. I am passionate about exploring the ways society, relationships, past experiences, and personal identities are an influential part of the ways you think, feel, and experience the world. I value your feedback about the therapeutic process and I encourage your uninhibited expression if and when you feel ready!
My approach is client-centered and systems-focused. Inspired by the natural world around me, I see similarities between human beings and seeds. Both have the potential to grow and flourish in a safe and healthy environment. In our work together I will work to encourage your awareness, emotional processing, self-compassion, and interpersonal growth. My work is influenced by Intersectionality (heck yeah Kimberlé Crenshaw!), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Attachment-Based Psychology, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Trauma-Informed Therapy. I offer an emotions focused and psychoeducational approach to help clients learn skills and find resiliency while navigating relationships, navigating self-identity, and navigating the systems of power in our lives. I have experience working with people of all ages in the LGBTQIA2s+ community on harm-reduction substance use intervention, trauma, chronic illnesses, gender dysphoria and euphoria, anxiety, depression, PTSD, and gender-affirming surgery support. I offer individual and partnered therapy with an emotions focused and psychoeducational approach to help you learn skills and find resiliency while navigating relationships, navigating self-identity, and navigating the systems of power in our lives.
I have a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Denver with a focus on LGBTQIA2s+ counseling. I have worked at and received continued training through Queer Asterisk (practicum) and the Transgender Center of the Rockies (internship and professional job). I have experience working with sex workers and am kink and CNM/polyamory informed! I have taken the Gender ASSET Training through Gender U and have experience conducting WPATH letter assessments and have written many WPATH letters to support people getting access to gender affirming care!
My work is informed by my continual learning about social justice, systemic oppression, and self-reflection. I am dedicated to acknowledging my role as an oppressor and constantly queering my relationship with myself and the world in order to promote healing within me and within others.
In my free time, I am a wedding photographer and musician. I love gardening, writing poetry, wearing black, listening to DnD podcasts, and watching dystopian apocalyptic shows and movies. I also enjoy spending time with my chosen family and my two dogs, Delilah & Krubbie, and shaking away my stress with a more-than-occasional dance party.
