I hold a Master’s of Professional Studies in Integrated Behavioral Health from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities, am a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor, and am currently completing my hours for full licensure as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. I enjoy working with teens aged 16+, young adults, and middle-aged adults experiencing anxiety, life transitions, relational issues, self-esteem concerns, substance use, trauma, and personal identity issues. My goal is to help clients develop a deeper, more compassionate relationship with themselves, foster fulfilling connections with others, and live authentically in alignment with their core values. Our therapeutic relationship, based on empathy, curiosity, trust, honesty, and respect, will involve exploring your story and identifying areas for growth, drawing from existential, attachment, and humanistic theories while addressing your holistic needs (mind, body, spirit).
Life’s challenges can make us feel disconnected from ourselves, conforming to societal expectations, and uncertain of our true desires. I work with clients to embrace their natural curiosity, explore incongruent patterns and behaviors, challenge negative self-talk, and engage more fully in their lives. I believe you are the expert of your own experience and value learning how aspects such as gender, race, faith, health, and sexual orientation have shaped and continue to shape your world. Taking the step to share your story is one of the most courageous and self-loving decisions you can make, and it is one I deeply admire.
