I have more than 22 years of clinical experience in mental health and addiction treatment,
including work in community mental health centers, psychiatric hospitals, correctional settings, and private practice. Throughout my career I have worked extensively with LGBTQ+ individuals and couples, with a focus on identity development, coming out, minority stress, internalized stigma, relationship dynamics in queer and same-sex partnerships, and the intersection of LGBTQ+ identity with anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use.
I am actively trained in trauma-informed care and motivational interviewing and approach LGBTQ+ affirming therapy as a clinical and ethical foundation, not an add-on. My clients do not have to explain or justify their identity before we get to work. I offer telehealth sessions to clients in Georgia, Florida, Rhode Island, Vermont, Arizona, Idaho, and Connecticut, and I accept insurance through Headway.
