I work with LGBTQ+ adults and couples who are looking for support in navigating life transitions, gender affirming care, identity exploration and development, uncovering internalized oppression, and trauma healing and recovery. I am passionate about supporting Autistic and other neurodivergent adults with a neurodiversity affirming lens. Some of my identities include being queer, trans, non-binary, gender queer, White, and Autistic.
I focus on creating a strong and trusting therapeutic relationship where all parts of you are welcome to allow for authentic support tailored to you. Using feminist, narrative, harm reduction, neurodiversity-affirming, and trauma-informed frameworks are all important parts of my work.
Some books that inform my approach include: Pleasure Activism by adrienne marie brown, Unmasking Autism by Devon Price, Trauma Stewardship by Laura van Dernoot Lipsky and Connie Burk, Decolonizing Therapy by Jennifer Mullan, Laziness Does Not Exist by Devon Price, Neuroqueer Heresies by Nick Walker, Supporting Transgender Autistic Youth and Adults by Finn Gratton, Break the Cycle: A Guide to Healing Intergenerational Trauma by Mariel Buqué, and many others! Ask me about these or other books, I am happy to recommend and process reading material during our therapeutic work together.
Finding a therapist that is the right fit for you can be difficult! I do my best to create a space that is accepting and uplifting of all parts of you and your experiences. I believe it is not the role of a therapist to “fix” you, instead I provide a supportive container that allows you to grow and change in ways that you personally find impactful. I would love to have a free phone consultation and answer all of your questions, please reach out!
I am currently accepting new clients for in person or telehealth individual, couples, or group therapy via self pay. I am creating a waitlist for clients with Medicaid insurance with potential for sessions in fall 2024.
