Jane Thomas-Tran, MD (“Dr. Thomas,” she/her)
Dr. Thomas is a board-certified pediatrician and co-founder of Transformation Clinic, a small, queer, family-run practice in Seattle led by a wife-and-wife physician team. She cares for young people from newborns through young adulthood, with special expertise in LGBTQ+ and gender-diverse youth.
She provides gender-affirming medical care for adolescents and adults, including HRT, puberty blockers, and referrals for surgery and voice training, and has a strong track record of getting prior authorizations approved. She trained at Harvard University, Stanford School of Medicine, and UW Medicine. Her practice is HAES-aligned and trauma-informed.
Dr. Thomas partners with her wife, psychiatrist Emily Thomas-Tran, MD (“Dr. Tran,” she/her), to offer integrated medical and mental health care.

Where we see patients: All services are available in Washington State by telehealth or in person at our Seattle clinic. Gender-affirming care is also available in California by telehealth. No referral needed, and if you’re not sure we offer what you need, just ask.
Our approach: We ground care in the best available evidence, while recognizing that research has often left out the communities we serve. Where gaps exist, we follow established guidance from WPATH, Seattle Children’s Adolescent Medicine, and experienced gender-affirming clinicians. We use an informed consent model and shared decision-making, so your values, identity, and timeline shape your care plan. We want patients to feel known, respected, and part of a practice that grows alongside its community.
