As a queer individual growing up in a high religious home and community, I experienced a lot of personal pain and trauma. It wasn’t until adulthood that I finally had the courage to truly explore my authentic self and came out first as lesbian and later as gender queer. It is from my personal experiences that I decided to become a therapist, to help support and guide people, specifically within the LGBTQ+ community, and all other walks of life in ways that I wish I could have been. I have a passion for trauma work (currently in training for IFS and Somatic trauma work) and have training in phase 1 Brainspotting to help clients navigate the traumas that come from minority and diversity hardships. I love to utilize CBT to help clients understand why they respond the way that they do to help reduce shame and guilt and offer a variety of tools from meditation to Socratic questioning. I do not ascribe to one modality as I like to offer flexibility for the specific needs of my clients. With my love for CBT and the scientific side of things, I also have a passion for energy work and utilize breathwork, soundbowls, tarot readings, and crystals for those who align with this area. I see individuals and have specific training to work with couples and families.
