Affirming therapist offering compassionate, identity-affirming care for LGBTQIA+ individuals. Safe space for healing, growth, and acceptance
I was born and raised in Miami, Florida and first completed my Bachelor of Arts in Tampa, Florida at the University of South Florida majoring in Interdisciplinary Social Sciences, with a concentration in Psychology and Sociology. Then I obtained a dual Master of Arts in Psychology with an emphasis in Counseling Psychology from Webster Vienna Private University in Vienna, Austria, and Webster University in Missouri.
My training abroad allowed me to practice holistic counseling in diverse settings such as international social hubs, LGBTQIA+ cultural centers, and a university counseling center. I worked with clientele from different cultural backgrounds and age groups, where I utilized a variety of therapeutic approaches including individual counseling, group counseling, expressive arts interventions (music, art, dance, poetry), and guided meditations. I practice and ensure Culturally Sensitive Therapy, recognizing and respecting the unique backgrounds, identities, and experiences of each client. I tailor my approach to consider cultural values, traditions, and societal influences, ensuring that therapy is both relevant and inclusive. By fostering an environment of understanding and acceptance, I help clients feel seen, heard, and supported as they navigate their mental health journey, addressing issues in a way that honors their cultural context.
As a clinician, I provide specialized support for individuals exploring or struggling with gender identity issues, including gender dysphoria, transitions, and challenges related to societal expectations or discrimination. I offer a safe, affirming space to navigate these complexities, providing guidance and care tailored to each individual’s unique journey toward self-understanding and gender affirmation. Whether you’re seeking support during your transition or grappling with identity. I provide compassionate, affirming support for LGBTQIA+ individuals facing a range of issues, including identity exploration, coming out, relationship challenges, minority stress, and discrimination. I offer a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can navigate the emotional impact of these experiences, develop coping strategies, and foster self-acceptance. Whether you’re seeking help with mental health concerns like anxiety, depression, or trauma.
