Are you having difficulty adjusting to a new environment, relationship, identity, or phase of life? Do you overanalyze social interactions or struggle to connect with others? I have worked in community mental health, college counseling, and private practice settings. I work with adults who struggle with anxiety, depression, life transitions and relational concerns. As a queer-identified therapist, I am also dedicated to working with LGBTQ+ folks, and affirming of kink and ENM/polyamory as well.
As an integrative therapist, I use multiple approaches depending on your needs: person-centered (building trust and rapport, letting you process freely while recognizing that you’re the expert of your life), psychodynamic (making connections between past events and present challenges), and cognitive-behavioral (outlining the connections between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, challenging negative thoughts, and addressing underlying core beliefs that are deeply rooted from your past).
As a therapist, my most important attribute is the ability to help clients feel heard and understood, using empathy and compassion. Everyone has a story. By sharing yours, I can help you make connections between past and present, allowing you to gain insight into patterns, behaviors and beliefs that may be getting in the way of meeting your current goals. If you feel that my experiences align with your needs, please feel free to contact me. I look forward to hearing your story!
