About My Clients
Many of my clients face challenges rooted in discrimination, systemic injustice, and generational trauma. These experiences can obscure our sense of identity and make it difficult to live authentically. In our work together, we’ll explore your inner world—thoughts, emotions, and learned responses. Healing begins when we understand the patterns that shape us. I am accepting new virtual clients ages 12-40.
My Background and Approach
I use a mix of evidence based therapeutic techniques and a holistic approach to address concerns including: Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), attachment theory, narrative therapy, and a person-centered lens. Since we will be meeting virtually – I often share my screen to provide visual aide in understanding therapeutic modalities and utilize the whiteboard function to create life timelines with clients. We will review resources, coping techniques, research and other material to ensure you are the expert of your life. Session can be structured, fluid, and everywhere in between. Whether this is your first time in therapy or you’ve been here before, I meet you where you are. Our nervous systems weren’t built for the world we live in – but with attunement, support, and care, healing is possible.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a queer person myself, of course I love working with other queer people – affirming and validating their identity, advocating for LGBTQ+ rights, and providing access to readiness assessment and letters to begin gender affirming hormone therapy (GAHT). In sessions, I will remind you that our existence is resistance. I will also work with you to find other providers that align with your needs as a queer person – utilizing my background and ethics rooted in social work. A systems lens allows us to collaborate and build your care team with other queer affirming providers.
