I view each of our lives as a journey of discovery: of the self, the world around us, and all the experiences that move through us. We are learning how to be who we are, how to be human, and how to traverse the terrain ahead of us. The journey brings with it a full range, from ecstatic bliss and deep peace to agonizing shame and despair, and everything between. Each individual’s journey is unique, yet we share some overlapping themes and needs. Perhaps we are seeking support along our journey, for further growth, healing, or connection with our authentic self and others.
Some parts of the journey are much more easily navigated than others, and even moments of growth that excite us can present unanticipated challenges, leaving us feeling discouraged. Sometimes the pain of healing past trauma is overwhelming and confusing and leads us to seek another’s support. However you have come to seek support, what is most important is that you have taken this step.
With a kind, thoughtful, inquisitive approach, we can know ourselves better and make the changes that we desire for our lives. My intention is to offer this compassionate curiosity to support you in creating your most meaningful life. The unique support of a therapeutic relationship gives you the opportunity to focus entirely on yourself in this space of caring collaboration.
My orientation is grounded in a relational, attachment and trauma-informed, psychodynamic approach, drawing on somatics, mindfulness, and Internal Family Systems frameworks.
If you feel moved to reach out, I would look forward to connecting with you.
I offer individual sessions with adults and teens (12+) virtually and in person at the Santa Cruz and Watsonville Shine a Light offices. I am passionate and dedicated to healing work within the LGBTQIA+ communities, and have worked within the community/ies in various ways for over 15 years. I also offer ecotherapy sessions, in which we take advantage of the healing supports of the natural world by meeting outdoors.
