I’m a board-trained psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner who provides compassionate, LGBTQ+-affirming psychiatric care to adults throughout Nevada via telehealth. My approach combines evidence-based psychiatric treatment with integrative psychiatry, a collaborative therapeutic relationship, and a genuine interest in understanding each person’s lived experience. I believe you deserve to feel heard, respected, and supported—not just treated as a collection of symptoms.
My clinical interests include ADHD, particularly later-in-life diagnosis, anxiety, depression, insomnia, and bipolar disorder. I have a particular interest in the intersection of ADHD, neurodivergence, and LGBTQ+ identity. Many people spend years feeling like they have to work harder than everyone else to keep up with life. They may be successful on the outside while struggling with executive functioning, exhaustion, anxiety, or depression behind the scenes. My goal is to help you understand what is getting in the way and find practical, individualized strategies that make life feel more manageable.
As an LGBTQ+ ally, I recognize the importance of having healthcare providers who respect your identity and create space for you to be yourself. You should not have to educate your psychiatric provider about your identity or worry about being judged when discussing your experiences. Although I am a straight, cisgender woman, I am committed to providing affirming care and continuing to learn from the LGBTQ+ community. I welcome conversations about identity, relationships, life transitions, and the ways that personal experiences and social environments can affect mental health. My goal is to offer a space where you can be open about who you are and focus on the care and support you need.
My path into psychiatry began in nursing, with experience in neuro-intensive care and neonatal intensive care, followed by a role as an assistant nurse manager in inpatient hospice. These experiences shaped my belief that emotional well-being deserves attention even when other aspects of life seem more urgent. I saw how frightening medical crises and major life transitions can be, and how often mental health needs go unaddressed. I carried those experiences into psychiatric practice, where I strive to understand the whole person rather than focus exclusively on symptoms.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Drexel University and my Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania. Since becoming a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner in 2020, I have completed the Neuropsychiatric Education Institute (NEI) Master Psychopharmacology Program and NEI’s Integrative Psychiatry Certification Program. I have also completed introductory training in cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I).
My approach to treatment is individualized and collaborative. I draw on evidence-based medication management while considering the broader factors that influence mental health, including sleep, lifestyle, relationships, daily routines, and other relevant health concerns. My integrative psychiatry training allows me to discuss nutraceuticals and supplements when appropriate, including their potential benefits, limitations, interactions, and risks. I believe traditional psychiatric treatment and integrative approaches can complement one another, and that treatment should be guided by evidence, safety, and your individual goals.
I also believe that meaningful psychiatric care should feel like a partnership. I am approachable, direct, and comfortable having honest conversations about difficult subjects. Humor can be part of that process, too. Mental health struggles are serious, but that does not mean every appointment has to feel serious or clinical. I want you to feel comfortable asking questions, sharing experiences you may have been hesitant to discuss elsewhere, and being an active participant in decisions about your care.
Outside of work, I enjoy crafting, indoor rock climbing, hiking, volunteering with animals, and spending time with my family. These interests reflect something I often discuss with patients: well-being is about more than reducing symptoms or checking items off a to-do list. It is also about finding connection, meaning, enjoyment, and activities that make life worth getting out of bed for.
I know that seeking psychiatric care can feel vulnerable, especially if you have previously felt misunderstood or have tried treatments that did not meet your needs. You do not have to have everything figured out before reaching out. We can work together to understand what you are experiencing, explore your options, and develop a plan that fits your life.
I provide psychiatric care via telehealth to adults located throughout Nevada, including the Henderson and greater Las Vegas Valley areas. My goal is to help you move beyond simply getting through the day and toward a life in which you feel more capable, connected, and genuinely yourself.
