As a trailblazer in LGBTQ+ affirming healthcare, we seized the opportunity to share our expertise, network with industry leaders, connect with partners, and contribute to critical discussions at the Techquity for Health Coalition meeting. LGBTQ+ Affirming Care for Every Healthcare Organization
On day one, OutCare Health held a comprehensive LGBTQ+ affirming care training session for attendees. The workshop provided attendees with valuable insights and practical tools to create a more inclusive healthcare environment. Dr. Dustin Nowaskie, our Founder and President, and Executive Director, Christopher Roman, co-led the session, sharing expertise and research on LGBTQ+ health equity, understanding diverse identities, and addressing unique healthcare needs within LGBTQ+ communities. The positive response from participants highlighted the increasing awareness and commitment to fostering an affirming healthcare space for all.
Networking with Industry Leaders & Partners: PRIDE Meetup
HLTH presented an invaluable opportunity for OutCare Health to connect with industry leaders and influencers. With the HLTH Foundation’s support, we co-hosted the PRIDE Meetup affinity networking event for HLTH attendees to network with fellow LGBTQ+ community members in the health space.
Our team engaged in insightful conversations, exchanged ideas, and forged partnerships that will contribute to advancing LGBTQ+ affirming healthcare. Building these connections is vital for creating a collaborative ecosystem that prioritizes inclusive and compassionate care for everyone.
For OutCare Health, HLTH marked a significant milestone as we met face-to-face with some of our partners for the first time. We were thrilled to leave the conference solidifying a groundbreaking research and care delivery partnership with Parker Health with a mission to redefine healthcare models for LGBTQ+ health, particularly within underserved and minority populations.
Strengthening these relationships is crucial to amplifying our impact and expanding the reach of LGBTQ+ affirming care. The shared commitment among partners was evident, reinforcing our collective dedication to fostering positive change in healthcare.
Tequity for Health Coalition
Dr. Dustin Nowaskie’s role as a member of the “Techquity for Health Coalition” brought OutCare Health to the forefront of discussions on leveraging technology to address health disparities.
