My name is Hannah Weaver. I graduated in August of 2023 with my Master’s in Social Work. I am taking steps to earn a License of Clinical Social Work (LCSW). I also have a Pre-Art Therapy Certificate from IUPUI.
I am passionate about working with humans who are part of the LGBTQIA+ community, or are interested in exploring their gender or sexuality. I have worked with children for many years in non-social-work settings, and was also mentored by a Play Therapist during my internship for my Master’s degree. I am open to working with children as young as 5 years old, teens, and adults.
As someone with a Generalist approach, I am willing to work together to explore what therapeutic approach types might work best for you. I’m interested in viewing folks as a whole person, and taking a look at the bigger picture of their life. We may be a good fit if you are interested in examining how the different (big and small) systems in your life play a role in how you feel, think, and exist.
I received training from Transformations Counseling Services regarding Informed Consent WPATH letters for folks seeking gender affirming care, and offer letter writing services for free.
My workplace, Catalyst Counseling and Consulting, is a private practice group, where most of the therapists on our team are part of the LGBTQIA+ community in some way, and all of us are safe and affirming providers for community members. Because of this, I am able to receive consistent and competent consultation and supervision from providers with experience serving the queer community.
