As a bisexual husband and father to a trans woman and a lesbian daughter I find working with others in our Montana LGBTQIA+ community meaningful and valuable. I became more involved professionally in the community after my now-adult trans daughter came out, resulting in our whole family coming out, in our small rural town. This taught me about the importance of support and ally-ship, and I chose to focus my private practice in three areas: working with the LGBTQIA+, working with anxiety disorders as a certified anxiety treatment professional, and working with men/masculine presenting with erectile dysfunction. I additionally work with many couples around sex and sexuality and improving relationship communication, including poly and kink-affirming couples. To support this work I seek out professional training each year focused on best practices for working with trans and broader LGBTQIA+ community members, focusing on anxiety disorders including OCD, and improving my skills working with couples and polycules. I was additionally a founding member of a local, rural ally group and continue with community outreach and community training on LGBTQ issues.
