Los Angeles, CA – September 23, 2025 — Following last year’s historic recognition of National Coming Out Day (NCOD) as an official Los Angeles city holiday, BabyGay™, The Black Cat, and the LA City Council set the stage for a groundbreaking moment in queer history. This year, the celebration returns even bigger and bolder, as OutCare Health joins as a presenting partner alongside Councilmember Hugo Soto-Martínez (CD13).
On Saturday, October 11, 2025, from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM, The Black Cat, an iconic site of LGBTQ+ resistance, will be transformed into a vibrant space for community, joy, and unapologetic celebration. Guests can expect an unforgettable evening of live performances, drag, DJs, vendors, and a live taping of the BabyGay™ Podcast, with cocktails, food, and plenty of dancing to keep spirits high.
The celebration will be hosted by Queen Lauren Banall and will feature high-energy DJ sets from Bri Giger, Brenna Jordan, and Litch Please, with more special guests soon to be announced. Attendees will also be able to explore a curated Vendor Village, featuring local makers and queer-centered goods. When the main program wraps at 11:00 PM, the celebration will continue late into the night with the official Black Cat Afterparty, running from 10:00 PM to 2:00 AM.
“Now more than ever, as our community comes under attack, it’s essential that we stand together, share coming out stories, and celebrate queer joy,” said PJ Brescia, Founder of BabyGay. “Sharing our stories helps those still struggling with their identity find strength and belonging, while honoring our history and lifting our communities into the future.”
Join us for the 3rd Annual National Coming Out Day Celebration at The Black Cat, honoring history, uplifting community, and celebrating proudly, fully, and out loud. Get your tickets today.

About The Black Cat
Founded in 1966, The Black Cat in Silver Lake is a historic landmark in the fight for LGBTQ+ rights. After a brutal police raid in 1967, the community organized protests that predated Stonewall, cementing The Black Cat as a rallying point for activism and resilience. Today, it stands as both a gathering place and a living reminder of queer liberation.
