Dr. Alma Leyla Dehdashti is a dermatologist currently practicing with Optum in Mission Hills, CA. Dr. Dehdashti graduated from Michigan State University in 2002 with Bachelor of Arts in Finance, went on to receive her medical degree from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2007. She completed her residency training at Western Reserve Hospital, in Cuyahoga Falls, OH; Internal Medicine in 2010 and Dermatology in 2013. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and Dermatology. She has been fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and fellow of the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology since 2013.
Dr. Dehdashti specializes in general medical and surgical skin conditions, which include acne, eczema, psoriasis, warts, skin infections, skin irritations, atopic, allergic and contact dermatitis.
As a double board-certified osteopathic physician in Internal Medicine and Dermatology, Dr. Dehdashti values a holistic approach to treating patients, evaluating the body as a whole and addressing all concerns. Dr. Dehdashti specialty encompasses all skin, nail, and hair conditions, including skin cancers such as: squamous cell carcinoma, basal cell carcinoma, actinic keratosis and malignant melanoma.
Dr. Dehdashti is trained to treat skin disorders in a variety of ways, including topical treatments, photo therapy, cryosurgical destruction, chemotherapy and surgical excision.
