Kyle Duncan is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing thoughtful, evidence-based mental health care for adolescents and adults throughout North Carolina. Kyle has experience treating a wide range of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, trauma, autism, schizophrenia, and substance use disorders. His collaborative approach integrates motivational interviewing, mindfulness, cognitive-behavioral techniques, and patient education, empowering individuals to better understand themselves while developing practical skills for long-term wellness.
As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, Kyle understands the importance of finding a provider who offers affirming, compassionate care. His lived experiences, combined with his clinical expertise, allow him to create a welcoming, judgment-free environment where clients from all backgrounds feel heard, respected, and supported. He is passionate about reducing stigma, improving access to quality mental health care, and helping people build lives that reflect their values, strengths, and goals.
In addition to his clinical practice, Kyle serves as a nursing faculty member at North Carolina A&T State University, where he enjoys mentoring future nurses and emphasizing compassionate, evidence-based, and culturally responsive care. He earned his Post-Master’s Certificate as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Regis College and is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
