Kyle Duncan is a dedicated Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience in providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care. As a gay man, he brings a unique and deeply personal perspective to his practice, fostering a safe, affirming, and inclusive environment for LGBTQ+ individuals. His lived experiences, combined with his clinical expertise, allow him to connect authentically with patients, offering culturally competent care that addresses the unique challenges faced by the LGBTQ+ community.
Kyle specializes in treating mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, and substance use, with a strong focus on the intersectionality of mental health and identity. He is passionate about reducing stigma, advocating for equitable access to mental health services, and empowering LGBTQ+ patients to embrace their authentic selves.
In addition to his clinical practice, Kyle serves as a nursing lab professor at North Carolina A&T, where he is committed to educating future nurses on the importance of culturally sensitive and inclusive care. He earned his nurse practitioner certificate from Regis College and holds board certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
