INDIANAPOLIS — Today, OutCare Health, a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ+) health equity organization, celebrates Transgender Day of Visibility (TDOV). Held annually on March 31, Trans Day of Visibility is an annual awareness day celebrated around the world. The day is dedicated to celebrating the accomplishments of transgender and gender-nonconforming people while raising awareness of the work that still needs to be done to achieve trans justice.
To provide support and resources for trans and nonbinary community members, OutCare Health is honored to launch our OutReach: Community Building & Support program. OutCare’s OutReach program builds and supports the LGBTQ+ community through engaging and thoughtful sessions led by community members from across the country. These FREE virtual sessions—including mindfulness, sound bowl healing, trans and nonbinary support groups, and yoga—will elevate voices and provide calming environments for the LGBTQ+ community.
OutCare applauds the White House’s efforts to advance health equity and expand access to gender-affirming health care to support transgender patients. Visibility matters, and so many transgender, nonbinary, and gender nonconforming individuals are speaking up and sharing their stories. On this day of visibility, we must continue to uplift and provide support to individuals and their families.
