Hi! My name is Ellen Davis (she/her), and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in Ohio. I graduated from the University of Dayton in 2018 with a degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I specialize in working with individuals navigating trauma, eating disorders, anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorders, and substance use disorders. I also have experience and a passion for working with individuals in the LGBTQIA+ community. I personally identify as a queer, cisgender woman, and I prioritize providing gender-affirming care that meets clients where they are, while navigating the complexities of simply existing as a trans or queer individual in today’s political and social climate. I am currently employed at and seeing client’s through WellQor, which is a leading online therapy practice that focuses on making it easy to access high-quality care.
I became a therapist because I’ve been there. I’ve faced the challenges of struggling with my own mental health, and my journey inspires me every day to help others find their strength and navigate their unique paths toward healing.
I believe that people who choose to go to therapy are seriously awesome. It takes so much courage to reach out for help. So, if you’re here considering therapy for yourself, I want you to know that you’re a bada**!
Outside of my work as a counselor, I love spending time with my two dogs, Luna and Buckeye. I’m learning how to care for my plants and enjoy getting lost in a good book. I practice self-care through crafting and playing clarinet in a community band. I also love spending time with friends and family, listening to live music, enjoying great coffee, and being out in nature.
It is an honor to do this work and to witness clients as they learn to love themselves and heal from the pain of their experiences. Struggling is part of being human, and it’s okay to need help – you don’t have to do it alone. It’s okay to need people. I sincerely hope to have the privilege of supporting you on your journey toward healing and growth. I can’t wait to meet you!
Truly,
Ellen L. Davis, LPCC
